Becky Parks' Obituary
Becky Parks, 68, of Garland passed away peacefully on March 29, 2015 after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Lancaster, Ohio to Ruth and L. Paul Miller. Becky attended Ohio State University. Becky was a highly respected artist and art teacher in the dallas area. She often escorted art students on trips to the South of France where she shared her love for its beauty and culter, which is reflected in her art. For the past 15 years she taught exercise and art classes at the Richardson Senior Center. Becky was past president and active in numerous artist associations. She has received many awards for her paintings. Becky is survived by her her husband of 18 years, Sonny (Harry W.) Parks. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015, 2:30 PM, at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
