Ben Sage Jr.'s Obituary
Sage, Jr., Ben was born on September 23, 1928 and passed away on September 17, 2009. A graduate of North Texas University, was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, retired from Ben E. Keith Foods where he was National Accounts Manager, long time member of First Baptist Church of Richardson, charter member of the Greeters Class, and a Deacon. He was a 50-year Mason and member of Hella Shrine. Ben was a gentleman and a gentle man who was well loved and respected by all. Ben is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Eva Farnsworth Sage, son Jeff and wife Patty; son Randy and wife Tracy; grandchildren Erin Thomas and husband Abe; Scott, Cal, Kelsey, Suzannah; great-grandchild, Luke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myriam and Ben Sage and brother Glen. Ben is survived by sisters Frances Deweese and husband Bill and Minna Jane Odon and husband Max and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Saturday, September 19 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.; service will be held at First Baptist Church of Richardson, 1001 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, Tx 75080, Sunday , September 20 at 4 p.m. Ben will be buried in Anson, Tx on Monday, September 21. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Richardson or a charity of your choice.
