Benedetto (Ben ) Parlapiano's Obituary
Benedetto (Ben) Parlapiano, age 90, of Richardson Texas, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, with his family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Dottie, his children Laura Keenan (John), Paula Miller (Michael), Elena Airaghi (John) and Chuck Parlapiano (Christina), seven grandchildren Patrick, Rachel, Angela, Sam, Thomas, John, and Jack, and five great grandchildren. Ben was preceded in death by his parents Calogero and Paolina, his sister Angelina and his niece Deborah.
Ben was devoted to his family and was a wonderful husband and father. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family.
He will also be remembered for his great intellect, humor, empathy, kindness to others and love of the Italian culture.
Ben grew up in Manhattan and lived in the New York area until 1978 when he moved with his family to Texas. He worked for Triangle Pacific Corporation, earning the friendship, admiration and respect of his co-workers for 31 years, until his retirement in 2004.
Ben was a long-time supporter and active volunteer with Special Olympics Texas, Children’s Craniofacial Association, The Italian Club of Dallas, and College Park Neighborhood Association in Richardson. He also loved playing Santa at the local hospital pediatric unit.
Ben lived a full and wonderful life and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Ben’s Life will be held on November 8, 2025, at 12 noon, at Aboca’s Italian Grill, 100 Central Expressway, Suite 63, Richardson, TX 75080
