On behalf of the Feliciano family, I convey our most heartfelt condolences to Tita Nenita and to Tito Beny and Tita Nenita's children (my second cousins), their spouses and their grandchildren on Tito Beny's passing.
My father and his siblings are Tito Beny's first cousins. They knew each other since they were children in the Philippines. I recall seeing photos of them in the Philippines and in Bennington, Vermont, to where the Adorables later moved. We have many family photos with the Adorables in Madison, Indiana, where the Adorables lived for many years before they eventually settled in the Dallas, Texas area.
When we lived in Louisville, Kentucky, our families regularly visited each other. During this time, I forged lifelong relationships with my cousins and have good memories playing, laughing, swimming and talking until late at night. When the Adorables later moved to Dallas, in our same neighborhood, we often spent time together at our respective homes.
When I became an adult, I grew closer to Tito Beny and Tita Nenita. I like to think that Tito Beny and I had a special bond. We shared our love of music (one of his favorite singers is Andrea Bocelli), wine, and food, among many other topics.
One of my best memories of Tito Beny was when he and Tita Nenita visited me in So. California, where I lived for about 30 years. We had fun visiting various So. California beaches and some of my fave restaurants.
Tito Beny was quiet, intelligent, a true gentleman, and had a gentle spirit. He had a certain sophistication about him but was never haughty.
I'd like to think that Tito Beny took advantage of everything life has to offer on this Earth, from traveling to places on his bucket list to driving fast cars.
I miss him dearly but take comfort knowing that he is with our Almighty Father, listening to Andrea Bocelli's music, eating a well-seasoned steak and sipping his favorite wine. 😊
May Tito Beny rest in peace.
