Sorry to learn of Benny's passing. I was his field training officer at Mesquite PD. I remember him as a fine young officer and for one "OOPS" incident. One evening he dropped me off at my apartment for a sandwich and he patrolled alone for the first time. About a mile from my apt. he topped a hill to encounter another vehicle pulling out. He managed to miss the other car, but lost control and flipped the squad. No injuries except his pride. L.J. McDonald

I’ve known Ben several years. I remember him being Judge Cercone’s bailiff when we were at the St Francis location. He loved playing games on his phone while in the court room. He will be missed.
