Bennie Wai Chow's Obituary
Bennie Wai Chow, of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully at home. Born in Canton, China, he immigrated to the United States, arriving in Houston. A job awaited him in Dallas, and he opened the Golden Dragon in 1973 near SMU. He eventually made Plano his home, where he owned several restaurants, including the very first Chinese restaurant in Plano, Tiki Chinese Food.
A man of many interests, he found joy in making steamed Chinese pork buns, fishing in the nearest body of water, tinkering with projects, gardening, and spending time with friends at the local racetrack. He had a passion for Blue Bell Moo-lenium Crunch and Coca-Cola. His humor kept his friends and family laughing until the very end.
Bennie is survived by his beloved wife, Anita Chow; son, James Chow; and daughters, Daisy Chow and Lydia Chow.
In accordance with his wishes, Bennie was cremated at Restland Memorial in Dallas, Texas.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
