Bennie Lee Gallien's Obituary
Bennie Lee Gallien was born August 17, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas and, at 87 years old, left us on February 7, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Eugenia (“Jean”). Also preceding him in death was his infant son Steven Lee Gallien, his sister Dee Slauter, and parents Rita and Paul Gallien. He leaves behind daughters Kim Harris and Bonnie Ferrell, Bonnie’s husband Ken, grandchildren Melanie Sutton and her husband Bob, Parker Harris and his wife Makayla, Natalie Hiddemen and her husband Jeff, Holly Cronin and her husband Paul, and 6 great-grandchildren. Ben received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Lamar University and his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University. Kim and Bonnie were born while Ben was serving in the US Army at Fort Huachuca, Arizona from 1954-56. He retired from E-Systems in 1991 after a notable career and was also an active member of First Baptist Church of Dallas for over 40 years.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his name.Graveside service will take place on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Restland Cemetery, Dallas, Texas
