Bernice Collins Johnson, aged 86, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. She was born to Mr. William Collins and Louise Barbara on Tuesday, September 18, 1935 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Ms. Bernice Johnson was a Black Queen who was a sweet woman and will leave her loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
Ms. Johnson was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother family was everything to her. Ms. Johnson worked hard to provide for her family As a teacher in DISD, worked in healthcare as a senior care provider, served parties and cleaned homes in her early years. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park, Azalea Garden Club, 700 Club, Elks Lodge, Nurses Guild, Angelic Choir and loved to travel throughout the United States and Caribbean Islands
Ms. Bernice Johnson is survived by 1 daughter: Claudette Kimble. 5 sons: Vernon Turner,
Raheem Van Houston Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Raymond Johnson(deceased) and James Johnson.
9 Grandkids Kendra Kimble, Joseph Kimble, Lazarus Kimble, Vernon Turner ,Verlanda Turner, Isiaiah Turner, Raheem Van IV, Jasmine Johnson, Shabonna Johnson 6 Great Grandkids Ke’La Kimble, Joseph F Kimble Jr, JoeMire Kimble, Ka’mya Kimble, La’Zyria Kimble, Jace Turner
Visitation is Monday June 6th, 2022, at 6:00pm-8:00pm at Restland Funeral Home. The Service is Tuesday June 7th, 2022, 12:00 pm at First Baptist Church at Hamilton Park 300 E. Phillips Street Richardson, Texas 75081.
