I sure did love my cousin Birdie; she was someone I always looked up to. I remember being the flower girl in her wedding, I felt like a princess in my dress. I will never forget that wedding. She was such a peace maker, always saying a positive word in any conversation. Birdie was so loving and caring to everyone she meet. She will forever live in my heart. I thank God for allowing me to be a part of her family. Till we meet again.

Bertha was great servant in the Caring and Sharing ministry at Highland Oaks for many years. She was the first face for clients to come in contact with at C&S especially Hispanic speakers who needed help. She was always gracious and kind to people coming to C&S from the Lake Highlands community.
