Bess Vanderburg's Obituary
Bess Dukes Vanderburg was born on January 28, 1920 in Raleigh, Mississippi and passed away on April 20, 2015 in Plano, Texas. Preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Ina Dukes (near Jackson, Mississippi) and by three brothers and two sisters. Survived by her loving husband of almost 55 year, Thad Vanderburg; one son Glenn and his wife Deborah; two grandsons, James and Daniel; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Dallas. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home followed by a service at 3:00 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Dallas building fund. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
