Bessie Faries' Obituary
Bessie Lucy Barnhart Faries, 94, passed away in Mena, Arkansas on October 9, 2017 born 7/14/1923 to Roy and Ellen Barnhart in Sioux Pass, Montana, the 7th of 10 children. She was united in marriage to Theodore Albert Faries on 5-18-1945. They had 1 daughter and 1 son. She retired from 1st National Bank of Dallas after over 40 years of service. She served the Lord faithfully for many years at Metropolitan Tabernacle in Dallas, working faithfully in many volunteer capacities. She moved to Mena, Arkansas in 2004. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandma, and great great grandma. Preceded in death by her parents, Husband Ted Faries, Sister Esther Davidson, Brothers Curtis Barnhart, Irvin Barnhart, Floyd Barnhart, Oren Barnhart, Glenn Barnhart, and Raymond Barnhart. Survived by her son, Rodger Faries of Dallas, daughter Carol Sproles and husband Don of Mena, Arkansas, Granddaughters Sharon Pillows of McKinney, TX, Stacy Rushing of Mansfield, TX, Angela Kirk of Seattle, WA., 3 great-grandchildren- Mickey Hanes of Allen, TX, Cody Hanes of Denton, TX and Cadie Hanes of Dallas, and 2 great, great-grandchildren, brothers Leland Barnhart of Portland, Oregon and Neil Barnhart of Griffin, GA. and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday October 11 at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas with services and burial on Thursday, Oct 12 at 12:00 PM with Brother Charles Diffee officiating.
