My father, Joe Thompson, was one of Bethel's good friends. My dad thought he was one of the best men he had ever known. And it only took a few minutes in the presence of Bethel to know that my dad was right! You could tell that he was a man of great personal honor and integrity and he passed these qualities on to his son Vernon and grandson Michael as well as the rest of his family. I cannot tell you how happy I am to know that he was a man of devout Christian faith and that he is now enjoying the beauty of the Lord! I know my father and he are having great fellowship together even now as I write this.
The Thompson family wishes to extend its deepest sympathies on the passing of Bethel. I am certain that it will not be long until the Lord comes and we are all reunited together once more. We look forward to that more than we can say.
Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus!
