Bette Jane Darrow's Obituary
Bette Darrow went to be with her Lord July 13, 2022. She was born February 26, 1927, in Elk City, Oklahoma. Bette was a conscientious worker whether she was applying her talents to her beautiful yard, or to her job at the Prestoncrest Church of Christ where she served as secretary for29 years.
Bette met Wayne, the love of her life, in Elk City. They married in 1945, moved to Dallas, and celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary prior to Wayne’s death in 2009. Bette spent her last several years under the excellent care of the staff at Sunrise on Hillcrest.
Bette is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her sister and three brothers. She is survived by her beloved son, Terry, and his wife Jane. She was “Memaw” to her granddaughter Lindsey Cobb, her husband Sonny, and great granddaughters Taylor and Morgan.
Bette left a legacy of love for her family, friends, and the Lord – we will truly miss her. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 22nd, at 10:00 am, at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park and Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bette’s name to the Prestoncrest Church of Christ Missionary Fund
