Betty Aileen Hogan Hancock's Obituary
Betty Aileen Hogan Hancock passed away August 2, 2015, in Kemp, TX. Betty was born in Clear Lake, Iowa. Her parents moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she graduated from Tulsa Central High School. Betty married William Hugh Hancock in 1940 in Sapulpa, OK. Preceded in death by her mother, Magdeline Pedersen Hogan; father, Edward L. Hogan; and her beloved husband of 52 years, William Hugh Hancock. She is survived by two sons, Michael William and wife Margaret, grandchildren Michael William Jr. and wife Jennifer, Joseph Patrick and wife Nicole, Jennifer Marie, great grandchildren Jordan Elizabeth Hancock, Sofie Michelle Hancock, Kate Olivia Hancock, and Simon Louis Hancock; and her son Donald Hugh and wife Pamela Katherine, grandchildren Saran Rachel (Thomas) and husband Braxton, Benjamin David and wife Alena, Daniel Seth and wife Collier, Nathan Joel, great grandchildren Ruby Hancock, Sadie Thomas, Sid Thomas, and John Robert Hancock. Betty loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a longtime member of the Payne Springs Methodist Church. She was particularly fond of her grandchildren and great grandchildren spoiling them at every opportunity. She enjoyed bowling, golf, gardening, reading, traveling and playing duplicate bridge and board games. She was keenly competitive and had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Family will celebrate a private family Memorial Service August 5, 2015, at Restland Funeral Home Dallas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
