Betty Jo Blair's Obituary
Age 90, passed June 14, 2016 of natural causes. Betty was born to John and Flo McNeely. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson HS in 1943 and married Leo Douglas Blair on September 10, 1925. Betty was a loving wife, dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, faithful to our Lord as a devoted churchgoer, and attending her ladies’ Bible study for more than forty years. She worked as an LVN for Dr. Don Brown for her entire career and volunteered more than 5500 hours for Baylor Hospital in her retirement. She spread joy wherever she went. Survived by sister Patsy Chalmers, nephews Curtis and Davis Chalmers and their families, daughter-in-law Nancy Blair and grandsons Cameron, Brandon, and Garrett Blair, grandson Jeremy Halbrooks with his wife Eileen and their children Ashley, Natalie, Travis, and Emily, and grandson Toby Halbrooks. She was preceded in death by her husband Doug, son, Gary Blair, and daughter Diana Halbrooks. Granddaughter Courtney Halbrooks passed nine days after Betty. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 28 at 11:00 am at Restland Dallas in the Memorial Chapel 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243; Pastor Joe Slaughter officiating. Flowers are welcome.
