Boruk, Betty's Obituary
Betty Jayne Boruk went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born on March 5, 1938, in Dallas, Texas, she was the youngest of five to John Schleimer Sr. and Viola Reynolds Schleimer. Betty and her siblings all graduated high school at Crozier Technical High School in Dallas, and then she soon married her husband, George Boruk.
Betty is survived by her husband of 70 years, George Boruk; her daughter, Tami Timpa, and her husband, Phil; and her son, Brad Boruk. Her grandchildren Sandi Phillips and her husband, Drue; Chad Boruk and his wife, Lacey; Natalie Timpa; Shannon Myers and her husband, Josh; Sam Timpa; and Clint Boruk and his wife, Amber. Her great-grandchildren Gavin, Maddox, Jordyn, Kennedy, Luke, Annabelle, Lily, Zack, Penelope, and Hudson.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, John Schleimer Sr. and Viola Reynolds Schleimer; her brother, John Schleimer Jr.; her brother, Richard “Dicky” Schleimer; her sister, Janice Ward; her sister, JoAnn Hoye; her daughter, Deborah Kay Boruk; her son, Ronald Ray Boruk; and her son, Larry Boruk.
In her honor, there will be a visitation on Sunday afternoon, May 18, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave. in Dallas. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Restland Funeral Home's Memorial Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment Restland Cemetery & Memorial Park.
