Betty Ann Corrie's Obituary
Betty Bridges Corrie, 86, of Tamarac, Florida passed away peacefully October 3, 2015. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She always took care of everyone around her and put others before herself. She took great pleasure in seeing her children and grandchildren grow and thrive. Betty was a gentle and patient person and a true Southern Belle. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia where she attended high school and Agnes Scott College. She was married to Arthur M. Corrie for 59 years before his passing in 2008. Betty lived in Dallas, Texas 38 years spending almost 30 years employed with CIGNA Insurance Company where she was a devoted employee and had many wonderful friends. Betty is survived by son Casey M. Corrie (Debra), son Clint A. Corrie (Stacy), daughter Claire C. Mays (James), grandchildren Adam Corrie, Jacob Corrie, Cory Mays, Katie Mays, Catrin Corrie and Brianna Corrie. Betty was preceded in death by husband Arthur M. Corrie and son Clayton P. Corrie. We will treasure our memories of our mother and grandmother and miss her dearly. The visitation for Betty Corrie will be from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM Friday, October 9, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. The graveside service for Betty will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
