Betty Jo Cowsar's Obituary
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Betty passed away on November 25, 2011 in Denton, Tx. She was born June 18, 1922 in Byars, Oklahoma to Issac and Ardia Johnston. While in New York on June 9th, 1945, during a weekend away from her job at the Pentagon, she met Naval aviation machinist and Naval baseball team member Robert Henry Cowsar. They married March 9th, 1946 in Byars. They had a wonderful and loving life together. Bob passed away on February 21, 1998 after residing in Dallas 47 years. Betty is survived by daughter, Jane Mulkey, son-in-law, Richard Mulkey, grandchildren, Lauren and Miles Mulkey of Denton. Services will be Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 12:30 pm, with visitation at 11:30, Wildwood Chapel, Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Tx. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. of Dallas, Tx.
