Mrs. Betty Jean De Lopez's Obituary
DE LOPEZ, BETTY MCGEE, born October 16, 1928, and passed away July 9, 2007 at the age of 78. She graduated from SMU with a MA, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She spent 26 years as an elementary school teacher in the Dallas Independent School District and spent her retirement doing the things she loved most: reading, dancing, attending films and concerts, traveling and enjoying restaurants. Betty is survived by husband, Santo Domingo de Lopez; son, John Calhoun; and daughter-in-law, Sherry Calhoun. Services will be held at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
