Betty Isabelle Doublin's Obituary
Betty Isabelle Doublin was born January 18, 1931, to Ernest and Mattie Cook of Puxico, Missouri. She passed away peacefully in Plano, Texas on January 4, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Betty married Lowell Doublin, a young Marine home from World War II and also of Puxico MO, on December 14, 1946. They were parents to five children, and together built a life rooted in faith, family, and devotion to one another. After Lowell’s death, she married Charles Horn, who also predeceased her. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. After rearing children, she graduated nursing school and was known in her career for her caring spirit and servant’s heart.
Betty is survived by four children, eight grandchildren, twenty-one great- grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, a daughter and a granddaughter.
