Mrs. Betty Echols' Obituary
Betty Fay Echols was born on June 15, 1927, in Anna, Texas to F. E. Bogle and Georgia Rutherford and passed away on January 21, 2017, in Plano, Texas. She was 89 years of age. Preceded in death by her husband, Willie Echols and son, Marty M. Echols. Betty is survived by her daughter, Janelle Echols; four granddaughters, and their husbands, Michelle and Brian Goldstein, Lisa and Keith Thompson, Amy and Mike High, and Marcy and Kenny Corley; eight great-grandchildren, Jake, Lauren, Indiana, Brandt, Logan, Zak, Jessica, and Lexi, and many other loving relatives and friends. Betty was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her warmth and caring extended to everyone she met. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She loved her church, Prestonwood Baptist Church and was a long time member. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 2:30 PM at Restland’s Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation or charity of your choice.
