I have many memories of Betty, my first would be a trip my dad and my mom and my younger brother Paul made to Yakima Washington on the train to see Bill's new bride Betty. That would have been in June 1950. Another memory would be when they go back to Pennsylvania probably 1953 The Betty bought younger brother Paul and I coonskin caps during the Davy Crockett era on TV. I lived with Bill and Betty for almost a year in 1960 during that time brother Bill owned a Vauxhall, a little foreign car, we made a trip to Fort Bragg North Carolina to see my sister Ruthie and her husband chuck. I was always glad when Bill let me drive so I wasn't sitting in backseat with my knees around my shoulders. There are many other things I could write here but those are the couple of things that I can bring to my mind now.

I had the privilege of seeing Ms. Betty every 2 weeks for her hair appointment. From the very first time I met her I fell in love with her! Her smile, her laughter and her witty sense of humor stole my heart! I will always remember and cherish the moments we had, wether it was about the holes in my jeans or her talking with Cheri about people they know and swapping stories about old times...I just loved listening to them talk. Thank you for letting me be a part of your hair life. And Cheri thank you for showing me what an amazingly strong, loving daughter looks like. No matter what the day to day life was bringing you never let it get in the way of you bringing your momma in for her hair appointment, you are so loving, kind and patient, I hope I will be able to do the same for my momma one day.

I had the true blessing of being one of the caregivers for Betty at Ariel Pointe. Her smile was the brightest light to anyone’s day. Her heart was pure gold and full of so much love. She and I used to talk about our lives, growing up, accomplishments and goals we reached in our lives. Her greatest joys were her children and grand children. Betty once told me,” Christi, I just love it when you come to work. You know how to love and truly care for people.” That one statement will go forever with me. Ms. Betty may you rest in eternal peace! I love you so much and will carry your legacy, love and kindness with me forever

I got the honor of seeing Ms. Betty every 2 weeks to get her hair done. I fell in love with her the very first time we met, she was not just beautiful but funny and charming! I loved to here her stories and listen to her and Cheri talk about experiences they shared and people they knew. Ms. Betty also had me laughing when we would swap jokes or when she would give me a hard time about the holes in my jeans! These are the things I loved most about her and will cherish forever. Thank you for letting me be a part of your hair life, I love you Ms. Betty. And Cheri, thank you for always bringing her in and teaching me how to be a great daughter because that's what you are, always so patient and kind, never letting the day to day life get in your way of caring for and being there for your momma. I love you both!
