Betty E. Gould's Obituary
Betty Gould was born on September 6, 1932 in Glasgow, Scotland and passed away on November 4, 2015 in McKinney, TX. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gould and son, Jerry Don Martin. She is survived by her children; James L Martin, son and Sharon K Martin, daughter; Diana K Martin, daughter-in-law; grandsons, James R Martin and J. Christopher Martin; Step-grand children, Keven Sticher and Courtney Lincks; and step-great grand children, Mason Sticher, Emily Sticher, and Colton Sticher. Betty graduated from Ralls High School in 1949. She married Lawrence Martin in 1949. Over the next 10 years, the couple welcomed three children into their home. They remember her as a soft and gentle person that would tell them stories of Scotland and sing to them with her beautiful voice. She took every opportunity to remind them of how proud she was of them and encouraged them to live full lives. Later in life, she was remarried to Larry Gould and had a happy marriage for the next 34 years. During this time, she became a devoted Grandmother who relished spending time with her grandsons, and never refused an opportunity to be with them. She spoiled them with Love and toys! She was a generous and witty individual who loved music and was passionate about helping her family, and loved her puppies. Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 2:00-4:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held Monday, November 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
