Mrs. Betty Jane Haines' Obituary
When Betty entered heaven on December 9th 2020, she was reunited with her loving husband of 56 years, E.L. Haines. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” -Isaiah 41:10
Betty Jane Haines was born on June 16, 1933 in her family’s home in Royse City, TX. Her family moved to Dallas where she grew up and married Edward Lawrence Haines in 1949. Betty worked at Southern Nipple Pipe Company as a VP for many years before the company sold. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends (stragglers were always welcome). She never met a stranger and anyone that came over left feeling like part of the family. Betty and E.L. were always surrounded by their large group of friends and had many adventures riding motorcycles and spending weekends at their property in East Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons, and 2 grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Stout, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. We will celebrate her life at a graveside service on Tuesday, December 15th at 1:00 at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buckner International, 700 N. Pearl Street, Suite 1200, Dallas, TX, 75201 or the charity of your choice.
