Betty Ellen Hardin's Obituary
HARDIN, BETTY E. “BETH” was born March 22, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana to William J. and Julia A. Tarver. She passed away on January 6, 2010 in Plano, Texas. Beth attended Ohio State University where she met her husband Richard M. “Dick” Hardin. They were married 68 years. Beth was an artist craftsman with a specialty in copper enameling and jewelry design. Beth was active in the Dallas Craft Guild as an instructor and served in leadership with the Venture Sailing Club of Dallas, and the Dallas Organ Society. She is survived by her husband Dick of Dallas, Texas; son Rich C. Hardin of Richardson, Texas; daughter Julie Brewton and husband Tim of Plano, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons William T. Hardin and Daniel G. Hardin, and grandson Gregory W. Hardin. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, January 9 at Christ United Methodist Church; 3101 Coit Rd.; Plano, Texas 75075. Memorials may be made to the Samaritan Inn, 1710 North McDonald St., McKinney, Texas 75071 or charity of your choice.
