Betty Jane Harris' Obituary
Mrs. Betty Jane Harris of Rowlett, Texas was born June 15, 1929 in Dayton Ohio. She was the only child born to William and Nola Higgins. She was a graduate of El Centro College where she received her Associates Degree in Nursing. She retired from Baylor University Medical center in Dallas Texas after many years of service.Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Lloyd Douglas Harris and her oldest son Michael Douglas Harris. She was a member of Lake Point Church in Rockwall TX.Mrs. Harris went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the age of 89. She died peacefully at the home of her daughter. She leaves to cherish her memories:, Brenda and Jerrel McGregor of Greenville, Texas; Jeffrey and Mary Harris of Youngsville, Louisiana; Theresa and Hugh Jones of Rowlett, Texas; and Dan and Teresa Harris of Dallas, Texas. Grandchildren: Christopher Harris of Houston, Texas; Cody and Lauren Harris of Missouri City, Texas; Belinda McGregor of Greenville Texas; Jessica and John McCann of Grand Prairie, Texas; Kari McGregor of Paris Texas; Lindsey Eckert of Mesquite Texas; Angela and Will Wright of Beechbluff, Tennessee; David Jones of Dennison Texas; Brandy Harris and Gary Mathis of Kyle, Texas; Kathryn and Greg Fassnacht of New Orleans, Louisiana; J.D. Harris of New Orleans, Louisiana; Lauren Harris of Dallas, Texas; Mason Harris of Dallas, Texas;15 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.Her funeral service will be held at Restland Memorial Cemetery on Friday March 8, 2019 at 3PM in the Abby chapel. Visitation will take place at 2 pm preceding the ceremony.
