Betty Elaine Turrentine Hyde's Obituary
Betty Elaine Turrentine Hyde, age 76, of Wylie, Texas passed away on October 9, 2021 in Plano, Texas.
Betty was born on June 6, 1945 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Howard and Carrie Turrentine. She spent most of her time as a homemaker and insurance agent.
As a devoted wife and loving mother, Betty dedicated herself to her family and her faith. Whether it was hosting small groups and parties or traveling, Betty loved to spend time with friends and family. She served, with her husband, David, for years working with single adults and greeting at Arapaho Baptist Church in Garland, TX. She opened her home to numerous hurting people and was a true friend to many.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Carrie Turrentine, sister Barbara Ward, beloved husband, David Masters Hyde, nephew Kevin Ward.
She is survived by her brother James Turrentine and his wife Sylvia of Winnsboro, TX; son, Darren Hyde, and his wife Theresa of Murphy, TX; daughter, Amy Roe, and her husband Tony of Sachse, TX; grandchildren Danny Roe, Avery Roe, Davis Roe, and David Hyde; two nieces and three nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, October 15, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A Service will be Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Arapaho Road Baptist Church 2256 Arapaho Rd, Garland, TX 75044
