Betty Jayne Ueckert's Obituary
Betty Ueckert passed April 21, 2017. Betty was born in Strawn, TX to Cecile and Frank Tucker on July 1, 1925. She was third oldest of seven children and graduated from Sunset High School. Betty met the love of her life, Lee Ueckert, as he helped her find a seat on the school bus and married him September 6, 1943 with a total of $3 between them. They began their family in 1947 and committed their lives to raising their family in a loving Christian home. Betty’s favorite pastimes were church socials, family reunions, and square dancing. She worked as an office manager, chairperson of Wives of DAV, Wives of Postal Workers, and School Booster clubs, always supporting her husband and two children. Betty’s oldest son Allen went home to the Lord in 1989 and her beloved husband Lee joined him in 1999 after 56 years of blissful marriage. Betty is survived by her son Dean and wife Cathy, daughter in law Cheryl; grandchildren Kenneth and wife Dee, Alice and husband Tommy, Bethany, Jimmy, Joe and wife Megan; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Betty has now taken her seat right next to Lee once again, and alongside Allen.
