Betty was born in Chicago in 1932 to Thomas Leach and Leona Byrnes Leach, as the fifth of six children. She moved with her family to Hot Springs, Arkansas when she was 13 and graduated from Hot Springs High School. Betty had many jobs in Hot Springs including at the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce for about 20 years. Betty’s last years were in Dallas, TX at Avalon Residental Home. A memorial Mass will be held for Betty Lynch on Saturday, February 7, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hot Springs and a visitation at the Church at 9:00 a.m. with local arrangements being made through Gross Funeral Home in Hot Springs. Betty’s remains will be interred at Calvary Cemetery with those of her loving husband of 48 years and where both of their parents are buried. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the two nonprofit entities that helped Betty and her family with excellent care in her last years: Avalon Residental Care Homes, 1625 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75207 or Heart to Heart Hospice of Texas, 1500 Waters Ridge Drive, Suite 100, Lewisville, TX 75057.
