Betty Sue Magill's Obituary
Betty Sue Magill was born on April 5th, 1931 in Keytesville, Missouri and passed away on March 19, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Clara Minor, brother Dewey, and sister Opal, son Brian Dunivent and daughter Connie Hainline, and her beloved husband of 42 years, Jim Magill. She is survived by her devoted son Steve Dunivent, and the light of her life, granddaughter Alyson Reed. Known as “Granny Sue”, she dedicated her life to helping raise Alyson, along with her parents, Steve and Gwen, and a host of extended family. During her professional life Sue was a nurse, and all during her life, a treasured Mother, Grandmother, Mother-in-law and friend. Granny Sue was a legendary cook, and her sweet smile and gentle touch stayed with all who met her. She was a very strong woman who faced the pain that life brought her with grace and dignity. Beautiful inside and out, kind-hearted and generous, the family is comforted by the knowledge that Heaven has indeed gained another angel in our Granny Sue. The service for Betty Magill will be held at 12:30 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2017 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
