Betty Jackson Miller's Obituary
Betty Jackson Miller passed away on April 16, 2019 in Rockwall, TX. She was born June 6, 1925, to Cazzie Hodges and William Jackson in Dunn, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Wynne H. Miller. She is survived by her children, Cazzie and Milton Husbands of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, Cherie and Skip Kennamer of Alpine, Texas, Curtis and Mary Margaret Miller of Rockwall, Texas. There are four grandchildren, Mark Husbands, Paige Grojean, Chris Huffer, Deana Wall and six great grandchildren. Betty graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. She was a real estate broker for seven years and sold jewelry for her son Curtis at the Dallas Market Center for 10 years. She and Wynne kept her mother in their home for 13 years and then Wynne’s parents for 14 years. Betty loved her family, flowers, reading, dancing, the ocean and particularly travel. She and Wynne traveled to six continents and around the world two times-but the best place and the most beautiful was the U.S.A. Betty was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. She was also active in the Brookhaven Book Club, Swinging Saints Dance Club, and several bridge clubs. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wildwood Chapel in Restland Memorial Park on April 23, 2019 at 10am.
