Betty Ann Moss' Obituary
MOSS, BETTY ANN was born in Freeport, Illinois and passed away on October 29, 2010, the second of 4 children born to parents, Harold and Ruth Keister. While in her teens, she moved with her parents, first to Jackson, TN and then to Jackson, MS, where she graduated from Central High School and then attended Draughn’s Business College. She worked for Miss. Power and Light Co, until she married Bill Moss in 1942. Bills vocation took them to several cities before he and John Russell merged to form the Russell-Moss Food Brokerage Co in Dallas. Betty was a life long member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she served on numerous committees. She was a former member of the North Dallas Womans Club, the Bookhaven Book Club and enjoyed membership in several bridge clubs. She was preceded in death by her huband of 64 years and leaves a son, David Moss; daughter, Pamela Dickerson and 5 grandchildren: Brian Dickerson, Michael Dickerson, Charles Moss, Amanda Moss and Theresa Moss. Services will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Tuesday at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 11425 Marsh Lane, Dallas, TX 75229.
