Betty Jane Richardson's Obituary
RICHARDSON, BETTY JANE, age 83, died peacefully on November 14, 2012 at home in Dallas, Texas. Betty was born July 23, 1929, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Leroy and Jennie V. Coleman. Betty grew up in Dallas attending Woodrow Wilson High School and subsequently graduating Texas Women’s University. In 1949, she married Raoul Richardson and they made their home in Coleman Texas. Betty was dedicated to raising their four children and was an active member in her church. She later joined her husband, Raoul and her parents in the family accounting and tax preparation business in Dallas where she worked for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling extensively. Betty also enjoyed time playing the penny slots in Reno Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Raoul and son, Thomas. Betty is survived by her daughters, Ruth Germany (Dennis Roemmich) of Trophy Club; Laura Richardson of Dallas; and Becky Blanchard (Mitch Blanchard) of Dallas; grandchildren, Mike Germany, Elizabeth and Nicholas Blanchard; two great granddaughters, and her cat, Rocky. She will be greatly missed by all. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at First United Methodist Church of Richardson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Kittico Cat Rescue.
