Mother was welcomed by our Lord the morning of July 4, 2017. It was truly her Independence Day. It must have been some reunion up there with her son, father, brother, sisters, Dad and all that have been waiting for her to come home. Her Love was unconditional – not a day passed without me hearing her say "I love you", and I her. She was so special; a caring selfless heart that faced cancer with such courage, grace, and dignity. My heart hurts but at the same time, joyful that her Spirit is free. She huts no more, free from the cancer, free from blindness. Thank you for choosing me, Momma. Thank you for fighting for me. Bob and I will be looking out for each other as promised so don't worry. Momma, when I come home I know you'll be there with that smile waiting for me. I can't wait for that reunion, but until then you are in my heart. Your Spirit is with me, your Love fills my heart, and I'll see you everyday in His creations from the birds that sing in the mornings to the the moon and stars that fill the nights sky. You will be with me always. I love you, Momma.

Betty was my 2nd mom & she was always there for me. We lots of laughter & lots of tears but through it all the most important thing was we loved each other very, very much. Not a day went by that we didn't talk, sometimes for hours. I will miss her dearly.
