Betty BJ Russell's Obituary
RUSSELL, Betty Joyce (BJ) BJ, of Dallas, Texas, was born on April 24, 1929 in Austin, Texas and passed away on January 1, 2017 in Dallas. Her 87 years on earth were full of life! BJ attended the University of Texas, met Clyde L. Russell, fell in love, and was married to Clyde for 44 years. BJ is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Tracye and Ric Levit, her grandchildren, Sawyer Levit, Kate Levit Lee and her husband, Robbie, her nieces and nephews, Ed Schmidt, Ann Gradwohl, Jan Hadley, and Terry Schmidt along with their families. She will be missed by her huge circle of friends. BJ loved her social time, especially Widowed Persons Support Group, Town North Woman’s Club, and Supper Club. She had so much fun playing bridge and watching the Dallas Cowboys with her friends. BJ’s stylish flair led her to a career in sales at the Dallas Apparel Mart and the World Trade Center. She passionately loved God, her family, entertaining, cooking, and fashion. Memorial service will be Saturday, January 14th at 2:30PM in the Restland Memorial Chapel, 13005 Greenville Avenue Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the American Foundation for the Blind, www.afb.org/give2CVL. – Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
