Betty Miller Sherfey's Obituary
Betty Miller Sherfey, age 79, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 in Rockwall, Texas. She was born on August 14, 1939 to Lorne Jame Miller and Gladys Cupp Miller in Celina, Texas. Betty married Solomon Sherfey on October 31, 1981 in Plano, Texas. She was a long time employee of Southwestern Life Insurance Company. Betty was a member of Good Sam’s Club, Road Runners, and Red Hats. She loved to be around her family and enjoyed playing card games with her friends. Betty found joy in everything around her. She always smiled as she entered a room, and you couldn’t miss her laugh, wherever she was. Betty was a very strong woman, and faced whatever obstacles came her way head on. She loved her church and church family very much. Betty was a member of Hope Church in Sunnyvale, Texas.She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Gregory and husband Terry of Rockwall, Texas; brothers, James Miller and wife Valerie of Nevada, Texas and Larry Miller of Talty, Texas; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Sherfey.The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
