Betty Ann Stock's Obituary
Stock, Betty Ann 85, loving mother, wife and good friend to many, passed away on April 29, 2014, after bravely struggling with a sudden and severe illness. Born on December 20, 1928 in Lexington, KY, she grew up in Jackson, MS. Married at 16, she moved to Australia toward the end of WWII where her husband was deployed in the Dutch air force. She later lived in Wilmington, DE and Brussels, Belgium with her family, before retiring to Garland, TX in 1982. Betty was preceded in death by Dick Stock, her husband of 47 years in 1992, and her son, Anton “Fred” Stock in 2005. She is survived by her son, Dirk Stock (Shannan); granddaughters, Skyler Bryant and Lindsey Stock; great granddaughter, Marley Bryant; sister-in-law, Ada Kistemaker-Stock; cousins, Eric and Kent (Sandy) Sallee, Barry (Kathy) and John Rix; nephew, Ernst Kistemaker, and nieces, Martha (Paul) Schutz-Stock, Linda (Rob) Maaten-Stock and Christy Hill. Betty, a world-traveler, was a life-long animal lover and kind and cheerful spirit to all. Visitation is 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Restland Funeral Home, Sunday, May 4, 2014. Funeral services will be Monday, May 5, 2014 at 3:00PM in Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA, PKD Foundation or charity of your choice.
