Betty Lou Taylor's Obituary
Betty Lou Taylor passed from this life on March 11, 2016. Betty was born to Orville and Agnes Baxter on January 7, 1932 in Pekin, Indiana. She was married to Harold G. Taylor an evangelist, on May 30, 1953. They enjoyed one another in wedded bliss for over 62 years. To that union were born three children, Teresa Scott and husband John of Burleson; Greg Taylor and wife Paula of Argyle, and Brad Taylor and wife Cathy of Abilene. Her extended family includes 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Betty’s devotion to her family was only surpassed by her love for Jesus Christ. She, as a preacher’s wife, shared Harold’s ministry. As a devoted wife, traveling companion, church secretary at the Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock, Texas and practicing hospitality, she captured a genuine servant’s heart. This gifted body distinguished herself as a secretary at David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock, Texas, Parkland Hospital and Girls Hockaday School in Dallas, Texas. Betty leaves a legacy of love for her family, a meek and quiet spirit that touched multitudes. Her servants heart crowned and coronated her life. She was truly beautiful physically and spiritually. This good woman now basks in the glorious sunlight of God’s wonderful grace and glory. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March, 15, 2016 at 1:00PM at Lewisville Church of Christ followed by a service at 2:00PM. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
