Betty Jean is survived by daughter, Mildred Childs; grandchildren, Carlton Childs and wife Cheniqua, and Arthur Childs; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Melba Rodgers; niece Kawana Simms and husband James. She was preceded in death by parents, H. T. and Gladys Thomas; and great grandson, Carlton Childs, Jr.
