Mom, I am so proud to be your daughter. What a privilege to be raised in a home where honor, integrity, compassion, and good character were the bedrock of our lives.
My favorite memory is the my first day teaching at the high school, I pulled in the parking lot and immediately felt scared and sick to my stomach. I called you (even though I was 47 at the time) to tell you that I didnt think I could walk in that school an be a teacher. You matter of fact told me "get your lunch kit, get in that classroom, and make me and your dad proud" (daddy had been gone many years at this time). You must have known then that Teaching would end up being the most rewarding and fulfilling part of my professional career.
I love you. Give daddy and Cara a big hug. I see you again.
