Betty N. Zotkiewicz's Obituary
Betty Nelson Zotkiewicz, of Plano, Texas, entered into the presence of the Lord on April 1, 2025. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, great grandmother, and dear friend to many. Betty was born on December 4, 1939, in Plano, Texas. She was the daughter of Lena Mae and Noel Nelson and the great great granddaughter of William Sachse, founder of Sachse, Texas. Betty graduated from Plano High School and went on to attend Richland College. She was employed as an Administrative Secretary at Rockwell/Collins Industries. Betty married Vincent Zotkiewicz on February 27, 1975.
A talented artist, Betty found joy in painting beautiful landscapes inspired by her beloved hometown. She was a longtime and faithful member of The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas. Betty had a heart for service—she loved traveling with family and friends and volunteering in her community. She was a member of the Sachse Historical Society and Plano Old Settlers Association. Known for her kindness, Betty was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Betty is survived by her husband of 51 years, Vincent Zotkiewicz of Plano, Texas; her son, Brett Christian (Kari); her stepson, James Zotkiewicz (TrezMarie); and her beloved grandchildren, Meredith LaMachio (Zachary), Claire Zotkiewicz, Connor Christian, Cole Christian, Zane Christian, Robert Keith, and Jessica Keith; and great grandchildren Caleb Keith and Dakota Long.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena Mae and Noel Nelson; her sister, Patricia Bonner; and her brothers, Noel G. Nelson and James Nelson.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Lovewell Hospice, Sunrise Senior Living Center, and Michelle Long.
A Celebration of Life Memorial to honor Betty's life will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Restland Funeral Home. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the memorial, beginning at 1:00 PM. Inurnment will take place at 3:00 PM, immediately following the conclusion of the memorial at Restland Memorial Park & Cemetery in the Garden: Veterans IV.

Independent florists are kindly asked to deliver flowers directly to Restland Funeral Home by 10:00 AM on Friday, May 30, 2025, to ensure proper and timely display for Betty's services.
