Bettye Lea Moss Edwards' Obituary
Born January 4, 1927 in Dallas, Texas to Odell Moss and Jessie Prewitt Moss and passed away March 7, 2016. Bettye, the 1st of 2 children lived in Texas until 2014. She attended North Dallas High School and Dallas Business School. After graduation, she began a career as a secretary, retiring in 1989. Bettye married Vernon Edwards on February 7, 1945 in Dallas. She enjoyed knitting, bridge, and cruising with friends. She also enjoyed her trips to Italy with her sister-in-law, and listening to piano and guitar music, especially the song by Nat King Cole “Unforgettable”. She was a member of United Methodist Churches. Preceded in death by her husband, Vernon who passed away in 1990; son, Greg Edwards who passed away in 1995; and brother, Marlin Moss. Bettye is survived by her son, Brad Edwards of Evergreen, Colorado; daughter, Paula Edwards of Evergreen, Colorado; daughter-in-law, Pam Edwards; grandchildren, Kevin Webber of Denver, Colorado, Patrick Webber of Denver, Colorado, Veronica Webber of Evergreen, Colorado, Eric Edwards of Ft. Worth, Texas, Rachel Edwards of Arlington, Texas; great grandchildren, Camden Denmon, Karter Martinez, Samuel Edwards, Erica Edwards; and special friends, Almeda and JB Preston, Herman and Ruie Preston, Buddy and Glenna Foster. Service will take place at 3:00 pm on Monday, March 14, 2016 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations.
