Beverly Elaine Peavy's Obituary
Beverly Elaine Fulton Peavy passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2014. She will be remembered for her strength of character, loving and caring nature, and determination. Beverly was born December 1, 1948 in Terrell, Texas to Neta and Robert Fulton. She was raised in the First Christian Church of Terrell, where she married Charles Peavy on June 2, 1973. To this union were born two children, son, Kyle Peavy and daughter, Allison Vawter. She was blessed with daughter-in-law, Greta; son-in-law, Justin and four grandchildren, Lily, Alex, Katie, and Elias. She is also survived by her sister, Jennifer Rabal of Terrell, and loving and caring step-father, Bill Beatty of Terrell. Beverly was a devoted PE teacher for 30 years at Richardson Heights Elementary. She is rejoicing again with her mother, father, and other loved ones who preceded her in death. Our family wishes to express gratitude to the amazing volunteers, staff, and doctors at Methodist Richardson Cancer and Medical Centers. Without God, those doctors, her loving care-giver and husband, Charles, the past 5 years would not have been possible. The family will receive visitors at Restland Funeral Home on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 6-8pm. Burial service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood on Tuesday, January 6 at 11am. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 6 at 3pm at First United Methodist Church of Richardson, 503 N. Central Expwy, Richardson, TX, 75080. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Richardson, or Methodist Richardson Medical Center Foundation, 2831 E. George Bush Turnpike, Richardson, TX, 75082.
