Beverly Jean Ettle's Obituary
Beverly Jean Ettle passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in Elgin, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, resilience, and a deep love for all creatures great and small.
Having moved frequently as a young girl, she blossomed into a vibrant, friendly, and outgoing woman who never met a stranger and was rarely deterred by new places. After attending college at Georgia Southern University, she settled near family in the Dallas Metroplex. Her sharp mind and cunning wit served her well in both her personal and professional life. She carved out a successful career in sales management, through years at Sanger Harris, the Wall Street Journal, the Dallas Institute of Art, and Manpower.
She loved music throughout her life and had a profound memory for lyrics and artist trivia, making for many fantastic game nights. Her greatest joy, however, was found in the company of animals. Whether she was visiting her favorite horse, Sundance, or cuddling with her pet birds, dogs, and rabbits, she was truly in her element. She is now reunited with her beloved parents, Richard and Beatrice Ettle, her cherished dogs, Atlas, Daphne, and Max, and treasured rabbit, Gillian, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Rosamunda Ettle; her nieces and nephews, Mary and Dave Havens, Steven Ettle and Lyndsee Nielson, Joseph and Melissa Ettle; her great-niece Juliette Havens; great-nephews Jackson Havens, Ezra Ettle, and Oren Ettle; an uncle, Douglas Holmes; many beloved cousins from Maine and Texas; as well as her faithful companion, Frankie the dog. She enjoyed many lifelong friendships from the Harris and Francis families, as well as Andrea Groves, Donna McCord, Virdell Edwards, and many others. After 22 years in McKinney, Beverly spent her last year in Elgin, where she was surrounded by the love and care of her family. Her spirit—as bright and bold as she was—will be dearly missed.
A graveside tribute will be held at 11:00 a.m. CST on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Restland Funeral Home (13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243) for those that would like to pay their respects. Immediately following the graveside tribute, a gathering for friends and family will take place at Vector Brewing & Pizza (9850 Walnut Hill Ln, Ste 405, Dallas TX 75238).
