Beverly Mowery's Obituary
Beverly Mowery, of McKinney, Texas, passed away at the age of 83 on September 7th, 2025, in Carrollton, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, friend, colleague, and game player to all that knew and loved her.
She was born on March 10th, 1942, in Nacogdoches, Texas to Margaret Sandidge Brooks and Marvin Vancil Brooks. Beverly grew up in Denton, Texas and attended both high school and college there. She subsequently moved to Richardson, Texas and later Plano, Texas to raise her daughter.
Over the years Beverly enjoyed tennis, Junior League, Mahjong, shopping, countless card games, movie watching, puzzles, snuggling with her mischievous & fun-loving cats, and spending time with family and cherished friends … many of whom she was fortunate to meet in school, in her lively neighborhood or through her work at the Apparel Mart, Clothes Circuit, and H&R Block.
Beverly is survived by her daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Michael Adell of Frisco, in-laws Betty Adell, Loren Adell, and Rhonda & Steven Satovsky, step-grandsons Connor and Zachary Adell (& love Lissi Mullen), step-great-grandson Indie Adell, and cousins John & Diane Brooks, Rachel, Kevin, & Brooks Norfleet, Julia Brooks, Judy Roberts, Lucy Pearson, Sue Stuckey, and Mike Sandidge.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 18th at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, inside the Wildwood Chapel located at 13005 Greenville Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Operation Kindness.
