Mr Bill Massey's Obituary
Born on July 6, 1924 in McAlester, OK and passed away on February 2, 2008 in Fort Worth, TX. Bill served his nation in the Army Air Corps and flew a Flying Tiger airplane during WWII. He was an entrepreneur in the early discount furniture business, opening the first Massey Furniture Store on Ross Ave. in Dallas, in 1946. Bill continued to successfully open and close many furniture stores in the Dallas Metroplex for more than 50 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Johnnie Massey, and grandson, Cal Eaton. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Massey, Susan Burrscia and husband, Louis, Pam Ware and husband, Jack, and Melissa Massey; son, Robert Massey; grandchildren, Blake Eaton and wife, LeAnne, and Jennifer Haddock; and great-grandchildren, Hamblin and Reece Eaton, Preston and Bryce Eaton, and Dori and Chase Tanner.
