Born April 28, 1927 in Dallas, TX and passed away October 12, 2015 in Rockwall, TX. Preceded in death by mother, Itonia Rankin; father, William Lloyd Rankin; wife, Joida Rankin; brother, Thomas Rankin; and daughter, Debra Smith. Survived by daughter, Celia McCarthy; sons in law, David McCarthy and Farand Smith; grandsons, Brian McCarthy, Christopher Smith and Corey Smith; granddaughter, Teri Berry; great granddaughters, Nicole Berry, Alina Smith, Makayla Smith, Amelia McCarthy and Isabella McCarthy, Lydia Smith. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 16, 2015 at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
