Billie Marie Rasure's Obituary
Billie Marie Rasure, 91, born on June 20, 1925, passed away on December 30, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Billie was a loving grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Billie loved reading mystery novels, making people laugh with her witty humor and watching moves, especially the classics, listening to disco music as well as Neil Diamond. She had a successful modeling career followed by working on Bonnie and Clyde with director Arthur Penn. Later in life she thoroughly enjoyed a career as an apartment property manager; she called the residents of the Carriage House Apartments her children and treated them as family. Billie’s favorite quote was “There are three things you can’t hide: love, smoke and a man riding on the back of a camel”. Billie is survived by her granddaughter Jennifer Burgin and husband Benjamin, of Arlington, Virginia, her best friends Jorge Lopez and Emma Stubblefield, Billie’s chosen family her daughter in law Ann Anderson and family friend Denise Grant. Funeral Services will be held Monday January 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Restland Funeral Home, Wildwood Chapel with burial to follow at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
