Billie Jean Sawyer's Obituary
Billie Jean Sawyer joined our Father in Heaven on June 14, 2009. Born in Crockett County, Tennessee on August 31, 1924 to John Edgar and Mattie Naoma Byassee, one of 14 children. Preceded in death by husband of 36 years James H. Sawyer and son Randall J. Sawyer. Survived by daughters Jennifer Whited and husband Don, Linda Bennett and husband Joe; son Charles Goff and wife Denise; grandchildren Benjamin Sawyer Whited, Geoff and Jay Goff, Joey and Jason Bennett; sisters Myra DeGinther, Dell Brown and husband George; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She worked 15 years with the FBI in California, Hawaii and Dallas, and then over 30 years as owner of Jan’s Coffee Shop restaurants in Dallas. Psalm 73 “My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, June 22, 1:00pm at Restland cemetery.
