Billie Jo Vonderheid's Obituary
Billie Jo Morris Vonderheid, 94, of Richardson and formerly of Garland, died peacefully at her home April 14. She was born Billie Jo Morris to Benjamin Franklin Morris and Hattie Phelps Morris in Zincville, OK., on March 27, 1924.She married Martin L. (Vernie) Vonderheid on Jan. 22, 1949, while both were serving in the U. S. Navy during World War II. After the war she was an accounting clerk at Texas Instruments for over 25 years. When she retired from Texas Instruments, she and husband Martin became full-time RV enthusiasts and traveled across the country. In addition to working at Texas Instruments, she was a Sunday School teacher at Peace Lutheran Church in Garland, TX; was a cub scout leader for pack 881; and served several roles at East Garland Little League, South Garland Little League and East Garland BBI.Billie is survived by four sons, Martin Phillip Vonderheid of Lago Vista, TX and his wife, Julie Warwick Vonderheid; George Randall Vonderheid of Allen, TX; David Brian Vonderheid of Dallas, TX; and Vance Edward Vonderheid of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Brooke, Austin, and Nicole Vonderheid of Frisco, TX; and Bradley Vonderheid of Lago Vista, TX. She is also survived by her great granddaughter Madison Vonderheid of Round Rock, TX.Funeral service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Restland Memorial Park in the Wildwood Chapel. The family will begin receiving friends at the Wildwood Chapel at 9 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Restland Memorial Park in the Chapel Gardens Mausoleum.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
